A Though there are mosquito nets provided in all accommodation units around, you will still need both the repellants and medication in order to be totally free from Malaria. However you can get them both in pharmacies and stores in Kampala.
Being that most tours are taken in the wild and these accommodation units are also found in the same locations there is no way you can avoid mosquitoes.
Q Which clothes should we carry?
A A big percentage of light clothes and a few jackets are just what you need for your tour to Uganda. However, Bright colored clothes are not suitable for game viewing sessions.
Q Do I need a visa and health certificate on entry?
A Visas are necessary, however Visas can be obtained either prior to your travel or at your point of entry. Health certificates are necessary but not strict.
Q What time of the year is most convenient to tour Uganda?
A Uganda is an all year tourism Destination, therefore feel free to visit Uganda any time of the year.
Q What do I require to engage in Gorilla tracking activities?
A As long as you are above 15 years of age, in good health condition without any communicable disease. Then you are eligible to track Gorillas.
Q What clothes should one pack for Gorilla Tracking?
A You will need long pants (Jeans) and long sleeved shirts and blouses, rain gear- water proof jacket or rain coat, sturdy shoes are recommended for the steep terrain.
Q What is the Maximum number of individuals should track Gorillas in a day?
A Gorillas can only be tracked by 8 people a day.
Q Are credit card services available?
A These services are available but limited to big Supermarkets, Banks and big hotels. Credit Cards are not widely accepted, you are therefore advised to carry cash in case of any transactions.
Q Is it possible to pay for services or do transactions in foreign currency?
A Just like with credit cards, very few transactions can be done in foreign currency a part tourism services and the related institutions.
