Gorilla tracking In Uganda - 6 days Wildlife Safaris

6 Days Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Bunyonyi Island Safari


Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

Meet and greet at 0800hrs.Depart from Kampala by road and head south west to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a stop over at the Equator for an informative talk and photos, and continue to Mbarara where you will stop for lunch. Drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their
incredible long curving horns. You will then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, then head higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes before dropping into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Uganda - Bwindi:
A trek though this, one of Africa’s most ancient rainforest, in search of the endangered mountain gorilla, ranks among the world’s premier wildlife encounters.

Early morning entry into the Gorilla Sanctuary. This rainforest offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is rare, moving awesome and exciting adventure. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/ Mantana Luxury tented Camp, Buhoma Community Camp.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will depart early with packed lunch for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, famed for its tree climbing lions. There are chances of seeing buffalo, Topi and hippo among other species. After checking in and having some time to relax, head for an evening walk to the crater lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari lodge/ Katara Lodge/ Hippo Hill Lodge.

Day 4 Chimp Tracking expedition in uganda and Boat Trip:

This morning you will leave for the 08:00am chimpanzee tracking expeditionin Kyambura Gorge. Track in search for habituated chimpanzees and other primates. The gorge is the natural home of habituated chimpanzees. Your guided walk may last three to five hours and in addition to seeing the chimps, the trip may yield sightings of the colobus monkeys, Baboons, red tailed and velvet monkeys, and other primates. After lunch, drive to the dock, for an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lakes Edward and George. Its shoreline attracts large mammals and reptiles through out the year. These can be seen from covered launches, Topi, and simba that cruise between Mweya Jetty and the channel's entrance into Lake Edward. There are also a rich variety of birds on the channel. Dinner and overnight at Hippo Hill Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth to Lake Bunyonyi:
After having breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for a cultural walk. Take a visit to the unique Batwa and Abaheesi (black smiths) communities, or to the Bukora Cave. In the afternoon you can choose to go for a boat ride or canoeing. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort/Bushara Island/Habuharo Camp

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi Cultural tour.

There are endless opportunities for photographic activities in the Lake Bunyonyi region. You may visit the bright and colourful local market at Kabale or the museum before driving back to Kampala which marks the end of your safari.
