Safaris to Lake Mburo & Queen Elizabeth National Park

4 DAYS LAKE MBURO AND QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK:


Day One
Leave Kampala early morning heading southwestern Uganda making a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for refreshments, pictures and souvenir. Carry on towards Masaka stopping at Nabajjuzi for a look at the sitatungas and other wetland animals. Leave Nabajjuzi for Mbarara reaching Lake Mburo in time for lunch. Take a quick boat ride where you will see Hippos, Crocodiles and a variety of Bird life and take an evening game drive for views of buffaloes, zebras, Topis, warthogs, impala, Elands and many more. Spend the night at Rwonyo/ Mantana Luxury Tented Camp.


Day Two
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, you are bound to catch a glimpse of the vast tea plantations and lakes like Lake Rutoto before arriving in Queen Elizabeth National park.
Enjoy an afternoon launch cruise at the Kazinga channel for solitary Buffaloes, Hippo and other animals at the edge of the channel as they quench their thirsty. European migrant birds like the terns and gulls gather here in large flocks.
Later have a tour of the crater lakes with in the park retire for the evening and over night at Jacana Safari Lodge/ Mweya Hostels/ Mweya Safari Lodge.


Day three
Wake up to an early morning cap of tea at 6:30 before you embark on a thrilling yet interesting game drive where you may see the nocturnal returning from a long night while others get ready for the day’s activities. Your early morning rise may be rewarded with a view of climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs, leopard and many more. Return to Jakana for breakfast and later go for an afternoon forest walk in the Maramagambo forest for views of the bat caves, the crater lakes, the blue river and the rest of the wild life in the forest. Dinner and over night at Jakana Safari Lodge/ Mweya Safari Lodge/ Mweya Hostels.


Day four
An early drive through the park for an educative yet interesting tour of the famous lake Katwe known for its salt extraction activities and on your way back stop at the Kyambura Gorge reserve for Chimpazee trekking. Depart for Kampala stopping in Mbarara for lunch.
