Rwanda Gorillas and Golden Monkeys (3 days)

Day 1: Arrival
Murakaza neza mu Rwanda ! (Welcome to Rwanda!)
Meet and greet at the Kigali International Airport by your Safaris driver-guide. Time permitting; go for a tour of the city including a visit to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the Genocide Memorial at Gisozi. Transfer to Kinigi at the foothills of the Volcanoes. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Tracking Rwanda gorillas
After breakfast, you will depart for the Headquarters of the Park where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the greatest animal experience ever.
Trekking through the virungas brings you too close with years of natures own best. The trail takes you through the national park, immersing you into the mysterious intimacy of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colourful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey, and littered with fresh spoor of the mountains' elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Tracking the rwanda gorillas is unequaled humbling as well as a thrilling experience which guides you into an extraordinary tropical jungle to come across unusual apes on their own terms, which can take totally a day. The guide leads you through and through the gorilla’s world explaining prospects of their ecology and behaviour. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest house.

Day 3:Visit of the Golden Monkeys - transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, report to the headquarters for a visit to the golden monkeys. This little known monkey is one of the most endangered primates in Africa and it is now thought that the only viable population of these monkeys is in the Virunga Volcanoes. Seeing the Golden Monkey makes a fantastic short excursion into the misty Virunga forest and it is a great addition to the activities clients can do in the magical afro-montane forest. As with the gorillas, only one hour is allowed with the Golden Monkeys. The safari will end with Air port transfer to catch your flight back home.
