EAST AFRICAN SAFARI - 18 DAYS

19 Days East African Safari to Kenya / Uganda / Tanzania

Day 1 – Nairobi
Our representative will meet you on arrival at Airport and you will be transferred to your Hotel – accommodation on bed and breakfast basis. BB

Day 2 – The Great Rift Valley
After breakfast, leave Nairobi in the morning and drive down the escarpment past Lakes Naivasha and Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park located on the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small game-filled Park. Return to your lodge at dusk for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 3 - Safari in Kenya 's Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, proceed across the floor of the Great Rift Valley via the Maasai town of Narok to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve by lunch time. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning for dinner and overnight at Keecorock Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge /Mara Sopa Lodge (C)/tented camp (B). FB

Day 4 – Maasai Mara National Reserve
A full day in the Mara with game drive in the morning and in the evening. These two game drives will give you the opportunity to see most of the game and discover more. Full board and overnight as above. FB

Day 5 – Maasai Mara - Nairobi
An early morning game drive in the Mara is followed by breakfast and thereafter, return to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch and some last time shopping in Nairobi.  

Day 6- Nairobi-Entebbe
Drop off at the airport for your morning fight to Entebbe where you will meet the guide for your transfer to Kampala. Branch off to The Wild Life Education Centre in Entebbe before finally heading for Kampala for Dinner and over night at Hotel Africana/ Holiday Express Hotel.

Day 7- Safari in Uganda 's Queen Elizabeth National Park
Leave your hotel early for your journey to Queen Elizabeth with stops and lunch en route. Check into Jacana Safari lodge and there after embark on a forest walk in the thick Maramagambo forest.

Day 8-Chimp tracking and a launch cruise
Chimp tracking will be conducted in the morning, take a walk in the Kyambura gorge for primates and other game. Return to Jacana for breakfast and relax as you wait for the afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This cruise may reward you with views of wild, aquatic and birdlife. Dine and seep at Jacana safari lodge.

Day 9-Game drive and the climbing Lions
Early breakfast and a game drive today, go in search for the Big five, antelopes, wild pigs, warthogs and other game. Drive to Ishasha for climbing Lions on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable. Dine and sleep at Buhoma Homestead.

Day 10 – Mountain Gorillas tracking
get up fully energized to face the rough terrain as you chase for the almost extinct Mountain Gorillas. After a brief from the guide will embark on the rewarding search estimated to take between 2 and 8 hours. Packed lunch, dine and sleep at Buhoma home stead. 

Day 11 –Safari in Uganda 's Lake Bunyonyi NP
After breakfast drive through the “Switzerland of Africa”, to the breath taking Lake Bunyonyi. Have lunch before the boat ride, for birding and a visit to the many islands dotted all over this deep lake. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages. FB

Day 12 –Lake Mburo National park
After breakfast drive to Mbarara for a night’s visist to the Lake Mburo National Park. Take an evening game drive in search for the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp.

Day 13 - Depart
Go for a boat ride before you finally embark on your journey back to Kampala.

DAY 14-Entebbe/Kilimanjaro/Arusha
Take a morning flight to kilimanjaro International Airport from where you will be transferred to Arusha.

Day 15 – Arusha / Lake Manyara
Leave Arusha by a tourist shuttle bus to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and a boat ride on Lake Manyara, heading on to your Hotel at dusk – dinner and overnight. FB

Day 16 – Safari in Tanzania 's Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Depart Lake Manyara for Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descent into the Crater for a full day Crater Tour with Picnic lunch. Return to your Hotel / Lodge on the Crater rim for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 17 - Safari in Tanzania 's Serengeti NP
Taking an early morning view of the crater from your Hotel & breakfast, drive to Serengeti plain where you will spend a day in the wild wrapping it up with an evening game drive.

Day 18 – Serengeti/Arusha
go for a morning game drive to catch up on what you missed last evening and later make a visit to Lake Natron. Drive back to Arusha to a city tour and shopping.

Day 19-Airport transfer
You will be picked by our guide for your transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
