3 Day Flying Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Mountain gorillas are Uganda's prime tourist attraction. The vast majority of these are in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla watching safaris in Bwindi is designed for those in search of a real adventure, who enjoy the unpredictable wilderness.

Day 1: Entebbe – kayonza

From Entebbe, you will take a private charter flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Uganda’s forested reserve best known for its superb gorilla tracking and also providing refuge to elephant, chimpanzee, monkey and various small antelope, as well as various bird species. The park occupies different vegetation zones but predominantly a tropical rain forest. This ancient rainforest is one of the few remaining forests in Africa to have flourished throughout the last Ice Age.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park is a home to roughly half of the world's mountain gorillas (326 gorillas). In the World today, it is estimated that there are only 700 remaining mountain gorillas This Afro - montane forest has dense under storey of fern, vines, and shrubs. You will be met by our company guide at Kayonza to be transferred to your lodge. After lunch, you will go for a guided nature walk on the Munyaga River trail, which is an ideal short walk. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead/ Gorilla resort Camp/ Buhoma Community Bandas.


Day 2: Gorilla watching Safari Africa
Gorilla watching is the main tourism activity in the park. Bwindi is one of the hottest spots for African Adventure. After having an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the ranger station at 08.00 am for briefing before walking up steep densely forested hills, slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas. The walk through the forest in search of these great apes will be informative providing information about Tracking in Bwindi, gorillas and other related issues. In the late afternoon, you will go for a community/village walk to look at the local lifestyle. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead/ Gorilla resort Camp/ Buhoma Community Bandas.


Day 3: Depart for Kampala
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will be transferred to Kayonza airstrip Kayonza airstrip for your charter flight back to Entebbe or to a destination of your choice(Optional: Safari extension to any destination of your choice).
