Gorillas in the mist Safari Rwanda ( 4 Days )

Day 1:  Kampala – Kigali

You will be transferred from Kampala to Rwanda. From Kampala you will drive southwards to reach Rwanda for an overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House.

OR

Kigali – Ruhengeri/Kinigi

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you are met by a representative from African Secrets limited and driven to your safari lodge. This drive takes you through the beautifully terraced hilly countryside of Rwanda to Ruhengeri the base of trekking and gorilla tracking.  Brief stopovers are provided on the way for photography.  Overnight Gorilla Nest Hotel/ Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge /Kinigi Guest House.

Day 2: Gorilla tours in Rwanda and hiking

Take an early breakfast and make an early morning departure for the mountain gorilla tracking. After the briefing from the authorities of the park, set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. Descend to your hotel for lunch. If you have the afternoon free, visit Lakes Burela and Ruhondo community.  Return to Kinigi in time for dinner. Dinner and Overnight Gorilla Nest Hotel/Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge/ Kinigi Guest House.

Day 3: Second day Trekking Mountain Gorillas

After breakfast, you will report to the headquarters for your second trek to a different gorilla families. After the trekking, lunch and in the afternoon you travel to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. Enjoy the wonderful Lake Kivu. Overnight, Gorilla Nest Hotel/Sabyinyo Silver back Lodge/ Kinigi Guest House/ Kivu Sun Serena Hotel.

Day 4: Ruhengeri/Gisenyi - Kigali-Home
After breakfast drive to Kigali.  You will have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi. In Rwanda you will find all over the country Memorials to remember the genocide of 1994. The most important Genocide Memorials are those of Kigali (Gisozi) and Murambi (Ngorongoro) where the history of the genocide is explained. A visit to the genocide memorial is for most visitors an emotional event. Don’t Miss it. Transfer to the Airport for your departure.
